Sie L. Clay, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), is a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience in talent acquisition, professional development, and strategic HR support. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Compliance at Samford University, Sie combines her passion for attracting and nurturing talent with a deep understanding of HR policies and practices.

Before joining Samford University, Sie gained over fifteen years of Human Resource experience, specializing in employee relations, leadership consulting, workers' compensation, recruitment, compliance, training, and development. She is a member of the Birmingham Society of Human Resources (BSHRM), where she serves on the Birmingham HR Fusion committee. In addition to her SPHR certification, Sie holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Bellevue University and is certified in diversity, equity, and inclusion from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.

Outside of her professional realm, Sie cherishes spending quality time with her family, including her husband, Jermaine, and their three daughters. Sie and her family reside in Irondale, AL, and are active members of Christian Valley M.B. Church. She finds joy in traveling, relaxing on the beach, and dedicating her time and skills to volunteer work, particularly in endeavors that improve others' quality of life. Sie's personal and professional lives are both guided by a deep-seated value in nurturing relationships and community involvement.
